The Diabetes Project
The Diabetes Project was launched in 2016 to improve management of diabetes. This chronic disease is on the rise globally and Syrian refugees are particularly vulnerable due to their inability to access routine treatment. The Diabetes Clinic provides medical consultations, laboratory tests, medical therapy, insulin and follow-ups for diabetes complications. In 2016, 943 patients received free medical services; by 2017, up to 2,682 patients received 35,721 free medical sessions.
