Education Program

about the program

An educated community is a dignified community. Thus, our Education Program works to enhance livelihoods and social cohesion through the provision of quality primary education to 3,000 Syrian refugee children as well as Basic Literacy and Numeracy (BLN) to 700 Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian youth and adults. Our BLN project targets mothers of children in our centers, thereby enriching families’ ability to support and nurture their children’s education. To maximize the social impact of our program, all projects integrate psychosocial support and life skills into the curriculum. All beneficiaries have access to our community health campaigns implemented throughout the year.

Our projects operate across 10 Teaching Centers –made from mobile shipping caravans– located inside tented settlements in Bekaa and Arsal. To accommodate the high number of students, our Teaching Centers implement 3 shifts. Our teachers, majority of which are Syrian, are well trained, empowered and committed to improving their skills.
