Who Are We
MAPS is a humanitarian, community-based, non-profit organization focused on refugees and vulnerable populations, headquartered in Lebanon.
MAPS has received over 85 local, Arab, and international awards, including the prestigious World Robot Championship in Dubai. Its team, “Team Hope,” represents 80 million refugees worldwide.
Established in early 2013, MAPS is guided by ethical and creative values to provide education, healthcare, relief, capacity building, and empowerment for refugee families.
MAPS operates through four specialized programs: the Health Program, the Education Program, the Continuing Education, the Community Service Program, and the Relief Program.
Our Vision
We adapt an integrative humanitarian model where each of our four program areas work together to achieve the highest possible social impact. Our goal is to secure a dignified society through high quality programs which enable vulnerable children and youth to realize their potential and capabilities.
To maximize our ability to empower the displaced Syrian society at large, the majority of our programs are designed and implemented by Syrian refugees themselves. Through this framework, our staff are both building their capacity and finding meaningful pathways for engaging with their community.
