About the program

American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA) Partnership
Since 2017, MAPs partners with ANERA to conduct the YBLN project for 100 students aged 14 – 25. The program targets participants from all nationalities who have been out of school for more than three years. This program is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education and fills the secondary education gap by providing courses in English, Arabic, math and life skills The program includes a training day for the principals and teachers of the educational centers and provides workshops on how to manage students with learning disabilities.
United Nations World Food Program (WFP) Partnership
Since 2018, MAPs partners with WFP to implement YBLN courses to 600 beneficiaries aged 18 and above from vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian communities. Lessons are conducted by EPL teachers every Friday and Saturday in Al-Amal Teaching Centers. This program is line with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education; over a three month period, beneficiaries improve in English, Arabic, math and life skills, in addition to earning an hourly wage.
