MAPs’ Crochet Community Collective (CCC) has launched the Bernie Collection to raise urgent funds for refugee education and livelihood.
CCC offers an innovative approach to restoring hope and dignity in Lebanon’s refugee community. With every purchase you are supporting refugee self-reliance, strengthening the community and powering refugee dreams.
Each crochet artisan is paid for their handcrafting, with remaining funds directly supporting 1 of MAPs’ 10 primary schools. Learn more about our Education Program HERE.
If we sell 1,000 Bernies will be able to sponsor 100 primary school students and support 50 women! Together we can keep our students in school and support women’s economic empowerment.

“I always think about the educational and moral future of my children. In the beginning, the crochet project was just a passion and love for the talent of crochet, but now it has turned into a safe space for my children financially and morally. Thanks to this project, I was able to move from the camp I used to live into an apartment, as the financial return for the crochet pieces that I produced helped me pay the monthly house rent and some other needs of my children.
