The American University of Beirut and MAPs Organization signed an MoU for a partnership that will start tomorrow.
This partnership shall promote the importance of education for the Syrian girls in Bekaa, in addition to raising awareness of the Syrian families about the importance of continuing school education of their daughters after finishing the primary schools.
Dr. Fadi Al Halabi, General Director of MAPs: “This new promising partnership will support the research studies of the two partners where we will be a strong supporter to enforce the success of the project.”
Mohammed Al Masri, Education Program Manager: ” About 50% of the female students who finish their primary schooling at Al Amal Center, unfortunately, dropout and don’t continue for many reasons; financial difficulties, early marriages, and being unable to access the far secondary education schools and centers. This will be an obstacle to overcome soon”.
